If he's young and doesnt know then that's ok. EVERYONE, I dont care who you are, you didnt know at one time or another. Some people grow up around these kind of things and some have to learn the hard way. People just immediately started making fun of him instead of trying to find out if he was serious or not. If he was being serious then I can see why he didnt respond back. Kudo's to Jackal and midnite for trying to explain it.

 

yeah. i didnt know what the crap a power band was until i got into atv's. i was around 15. man i have learned so much about engines and mechanical stuff.

mojavemaddude12- a powerband is not a real part on a quad. it is a term meant to describe the RPM range, or band, that the power comes on (usually on a 2 stroke). on a 4 stroke the power is a lot more smoothed out. most 4 strokes dont have a noticable power band. the yfz however does and it is known to have the 2 stroke kinda power. imagine this... a 250 4 stroke at low RPMs riding around. when you hit the power band its like you just kicked on nitrous or somethin. its very noticable on a banshee. your either not going anywhere or hanging on for dear life. excuse us for joking around a little too much. its just really funny on the other side of things. someday youll look back and laugh at it.
