Is HMF good for 686 Raptors, or should I do CT or sparks? Does it matter as long as you are tuned right?
I have ben thru 2 exhaust systems on this bike, I want to get the right one this time.
Thanks!

HMF should be out of the question, it's now between sparks and CT. Most prefer Curtis Sparks, for build engines, so there you have it.

Well I don't have a 686 and the ct is the only exhaust I tried but I have to say it works extremely well providing power all through the rpm range. It is quite loud though and I have'nt quite figured out how to plug it off for washing purposes being that it is a disc type system. Well hope I helped.

any of them that are compatible with the stock head pipe on a raptor should be out of the question on a big bore motor
I know first hand that the HMF sucks compared to a sparks AND yoshimura on a low comp 686
the hmf is Numerous lenghts slower than either of the other two named......but the sparks is 3 ahead of the yoshi in our testing on this particular quad.........
I don't think you could go wrong with CT, Sparks, or Yoshi.......
I just feel that sparks will make more power than the rest..........JMO!!!!

Wow, that's convincing. Thanks for preventing me from making a third exhaust mistake!
Is yoshi a disk system too?

Yoshi isn't a disk system, it's a darn good pipe, but CT and Sparks are just a bit more up there than Yoshi. It's still a good pipe, you could choose between the Comp Series which is loud and the Pro which is better performing and quitter.
