raptor problem

Default raptor problem

well i but my 01 a while ago and i bought it used the previouse owner before me never got the tranny fixed from the recall they sent could there be a way i could get it fixed like how could i get that letter cause i just broke my tranny and have no $$$$ to fix it

I don't think there ever was a recall on the tranny. There was on the rear brake resevoir, but not the tranny. Someone correct me if I am wrong. There are kits you can buy though, that might be your best bet.

No such recall. Only raptor related issue I could find is this. And it refers to the rear brake resevoir. You can search the CPSC site for any info, but I could find none. A recall is a recall. If it was never done then the dealer has to do it if it applies to that vehicle regardless of age. Doubt you'll get this covered though. Google search ATV salvage yards and maybe you can get one cheap and Ebay of course.

you are on your own

get the updated kit and do it yourself

or find some local honest mechanics and get some quotes

bummer deal

raptortranny.com has plenty of info

Alba has a kit for like $150 to upgrade your tranny.

there was never a recall. Yamaha has not taken responsibility for the tranny problems. ur on ur own.. and i have seen a lot of raptor owners go to raptortranny.com with they 01 problems.
