i have a freind with a 900rr in a raptor, had to to replace bottom frame tubes with some custom low slung tubes. it runs now and its way fast just takes time getting the gearing right. i think a banshee would be better because the frame is longer in the engine area and your yfz is worth alot more than a banshee wich can be bought very cheap and without a motor very cheap , besides with that r1 in there you are not going to need the good handling of the yfz since it will be a hillshooter anyway.

 

Wow. Cool post. I wonder what an R6 engine would be like in a YFZ450 frame. Do you guys think it would be cool? Ummmm....So instead of buying a whole new YFZ450, I should get a strong Lonestar YFZ450 frame, white YFZ450 Maier plastics, an R6 engine, and all that other good stuff. o great lol now he wants a r6 yfz lol j/p man but u went from banshee,yfz450 to this and u have never owned a quad and arent good at clutch yet u r better off getting such as a 400ex ur gonna hurt urself on a yfz450 or ect no offense man just the facts

This has been the stupidest post I have read in a while.... Settle down you guys... If you are worried soo much about beating this civic why don't you just buy a streetbike and do it that way. What difference will it make if its a quad or a street bike besides that fact that you will ruin your quad by doing it cause it won't preform the same after you swap the engines. Your gonna build something that you have never done before and then race this dude on a mile long race?? Kinda risky if you ask me especailly with 2grand and your life at stake.. Why waste the money... Get a crotch rocket and call it a day. My friends bro has an old gsxr thta he swapped engines and did some other stuff and is running 9s with nitrous.... Do you comprend what I'm saying 9 second quarter miles.. Find me a civic that will touch that let alone the good majority of cars.. And He probably spent as much as you will between the cost of your quad and everythign you will need for it.

Well, there was an Acura RSX running 9 seconds flat on SuperStreet. It was ran by all motor. Just think of it with nitrous! Anyways, you can get an Acura RSX V-tech engine into a Civic Hatchback anyday. That's why getting a Civic Hatchback is better than getting a Civic Seden. Yes of course and I failed to mention that my friends dad has a dragster camaro that runs high 7s low 8s. Of course there are cars that do better than 9 seconds but I'm saying out of the good majority that he will come across if not all of them.. They will not be running that fast.
