why does it cost less for me to buy a car battery than a fourwheeler battery!!!!!!!!!!!???????????? Is b/c of the stealership's high pricing or something else.........please help me understand this stuff before I go crazy

 

Everythings getting espensive especially gas and if you read the August issue of DirtWheels the Shee and Quadzilla comparison those things were only like 3000 back then

 

yea gas is getting high and stuff like that but currently I can go out and buy a new car battery for less than an atv battery and that is just f*ckin ridiculous

 

Yeah atv's are getting higher also,the z is $100 more than last year,so it the 400ex and 300ex.The new raptor is 7 grand and is the yfz.Geez there gonna have to get them prices lower or atleast don't raise them from where there at. Heck what i am saying they still need to be lowered.

 

It's because the car batteries are produced in much larger #'s making them cheaper to produce. Dealerships are high on batteries though, you can go to an auto parts store and they can order you a motorcycle battery far cheaper than you can get it at the dealership.

Also, there are virtually no reliable aftermarket batteries available, so we have to go to the stealership for a Yausa OEM battery.

 

Walmart sells atv batteries cheap all day everyday!

 

Been there and done that...they don't last.

 

quads may be more expensive now, but look at all the technological advancements you are getting: aluminum/steel frame combos, 700cc motors, fuel injection, suspension that is ten times better than what it was, and overall improved handling and power capabilities. I'd say considering that and inflation, prices are about right, but could always be cheaper.
