Most afermarkets glow a bit, hell the stock YFZ header lit up like a christmas tree. You might need to go up a size on the pilot jet though

If you didnt re-jet after installing the pipe you are probably too lean! The better flowing pipe lets the engine pull air through so much faster and easier the stock jet usually isnt large enough to allow the correct mixture of gasoline to go through with the air. This is a too lean condition and can cause a lot of engine damage. Ride it kind of hard, let it cool down and pull the plug and see what color it is. Should be a light to medium brown. If its white, it is definately too lean. I have installed several pipes and kits here in my area, around 1000 feet elevation. The instructions with the pipe and jet kit tell you what size jet you should use for your elevation. Usually it is up 2 sizes larger than stock. Just what I have ran into. Hope the info helps. You will be a lot better off with a too rich condition that a too lean as far as engine and piston life are concerned.

usually if u put a slip-on on a bike, ull neeed to rejet or ull see the glowing, which is caused by running lean. u need to step up a jet size to allow more gas to be mixed.

U said that u have an HMF.. correct? they say u dont need to rejet.. so i didn't and my warrior runs fine with it not jetted. i guess its because of the altitude or the fact that ur machine was a tad bit on the lean side to begin with.

just get it jetted.. u dont want to have to replace ur parts over a cheap thing like jetting.

Since you have already rejetted the carb, what color does the spark plug burn now?

If your running without the lid you'll need way bigger jets than that with a full HMF.
