yes... it gives u more gas/air mix which gives u more power.

u can run lean if u dont rejet.

re-jet if your going to run with no box lid or drilling holes in the lid

You need to re-jet to your riding elevation. Just riding with the airbox lid off won't make much difference unless youre-jet. If you run too lean you can kiss that motor good-buy if you run hard and long enough.
