hi, i have just got an 05 660 raptor, and i was wanting to race some banshees at this track i know. if you dont consider the ride weight or skill and its just machine v machine what is the chance of my stock rappy beating or keeping up with the shee? i thought that as the raptor was powerful it would trounce the shee, but i believe this is not the case. would i keep up with a stock shee and or a modded one as 9/10 banshees are lol.?. where would the raptor come in good against a banshe i.e uphills, dowhils, tarmac, flat, trials etc?? thanks for any replies.

Raptor beats it in the trails no problem. Both machines have their ups and downs the raptor is tall and top heavy and the Banshee has a old style suspension and the old baloon style tires. The Raptor is an awesome trail quad, the Banshee is a great dune machine. As far as drag raceing goes in most cases the Raptor will win when your talking stock vs stock. When you start to mod the shee, thats when it becomes faster. The Banshee responds better to mods than the raptor beacuse its a 2-stroke twin. I like the Raptor better beacuse it has more low end torque, and also i perfer a 4 stroke over a 2 any day but thats just me.

it all depends on how you ride the machine. i know you said not to consider rider ability, but a shee can beat a raptor anywhere if you know how to ride them. the best place for a raptor to beat a banshee is in slick mud or very loose dirt where it is hard to get traction. the shee has no low end power so to get to the meat of their powerband you would be spinning the tires and not going anywhere. the raptor would be able to use the low end power and get going quicker. by time the shee was going fast enough to use all of its power the rappy would already be heading back to the starting line to go again.
