alright i want to take the airbox lid off but i heard u have to rejet and i dont kno how to do that all i want to kno is wether to turn the idle speed up or down cuz i kno how to do that but i dont kno what like some of the terms mean like lean so if u could just tell me wether to turn the idle speed up or down thats all i need to kno thanks and i hate to bother u guys with some thin so stupid

Your idle has nothing to do with jetting. Taking your lid off is allowing more air in the motor. You will need to use richer jetting to see any added power. Its not hard to rejet. Do a google on how to rejet.

Turning the idle speed up or down will not do anything to change your jetting, and really won't help you in this situation. Taking the airbox lid off will make the motor run lean(not enough fuel) The only way to change your jetting is to take the carb apart. It sounds like you would have to take it to the shop for rejetting since you're not familiar with it yourself.

thanks thats y i didnt want to screw with anything but goin to a richer jet is that like getting a bigger one cuz im pretty sure my cusin knos how but i havent been able to find him so if u could suggest what i should have them do or change id rather wait instead of goin to the stealership thanks again

Exactly what has to be done will depend on how much the removed airbox lid throws off your jetting. There's a combination of pilot jets, needles, and main jets that need to be adjusted or replaced based on how the lid affects your machine. Jetting can be a little hit and miss at times.
