700r vs ds650

I agree with you , the ds is not slow and if the 700 is faster so be it. However , to get beat by 10 bike lengths just does not seem right?
all these bikes are geared from the factory to hit about 73-75 mph stock. some unwritten rule with that consumer product safety commission, Can't remember what alphabet they go by?

Keep dreaming about what? Outlander 800 going 75mph {fact}, or bomb making a sport quad chassis for the 800 motor? Ds 650 is out dated (still a fine bike), and there is no way the 800 motor will fit into a ds650 chassis. How hard would it be to make a new chassis. The motor already exists, so in the future [1 - 2- 3 years] I think you'll see one. Keep in mind this year alone we will see 5 new sport quads 700r, suzi 450, kawi 450, bomb 450, and polaris 450. So I don't think its out of the realm of posibilities to see a 800 cc sport quad from the first company to make a big bore 4-stroke sport quad.

MEH. I would not think that the 800 will be in a sport atv. Its Parctially the as making a new motor If not harder and more confusing whitch would lead to problems in the furture. IT no easy shoving a motor made for a 4x4 in a 2x4 sport quad. That engine was already made to have 2x4 and switch to 4x4 all that other stuff is in the motor to acompany that never mind that vison lock. Then all the gearing they'd have to change to make it a sport quad. And did u see the 800 that eninge is huge N ugly cause is all covered by plastic. My uncle bought one n it reachs 73mph not 75 hehe. I dought they willl put that motor in a sport. im sure they will make a new big bore sport Just not that enige. The only sport atv and utility quade two ever have the same engine i do believe was the 660 Grizz and Rappy. I"M 99% postive and would bet on it any day that the 800cc engine from the 800 outlander will never a see sport chassis

01DS650, I thought I was the only one who felt that way about new quads?
I think Bomb needs to lighten the DS some, add reverse & just add HP to that wonderful, bulletproof 650 motor.
I wish someone would build a lightweight auto sport quad. The ladies would buy it up like crazy.

My DS650 BAJAX that got beaten by 10 bike lengths is running strong I believe. It is an 04 with 70 hours on the clock(I have hourmeter) and has HPR endcap, dynojet kit 185 main, 4th clip, KN,no lid and I believe is pulling hard, bike pulls wheelies easy in 3rd gear which would not do when stock. When we were racing it went about the same as usual against my buddy's 660 so I know that these 700r do go well. Any suggestions how to get my DS going harder I will consider, I am about due to get a valve adjustment. Any other race reports against another 700r would be good(and be honest)!!!
