Why wouldnt it stay together is it to much power for the engine to handle or somthing
It's a full blown race motor making more than double the stock Raptor motor HP. They are not grenades but they require much more care and feeding than a stock motor or one that's mildly modified. They have to be jetted properly at all times, never hammered when cold, oil changed religiously with top shelf supplies, clutches checked regularly, cam chain stretch checked regularly, valves adjusted regularly/precisely, and constantly monitored for any sign of a problem (hoping that if you catch it early, it will be cheaper to fix).

Most supercharged big block car street motors are only making 50-75% more HP than stock. Percentage wise, these high end Raptor motors are making 100% + more HP than stock. Add Nitro or NOS into the mix and everything gets even more critical.

Drag racing is the hardest thing you can do to a motor. On a full blown race quad, it's either full throttle or idle. A lot of flat drag racers hold the rpms on the rev limiter before dumping the clutch in 2nd. The hill shooters hold WFO at the top end of a gear for long distances. Neither of these racing techniques are "easy" on the motor.

The whole concept of a warrantly on a full blown race motor is an issue for the builders. I heard a rumor that one of the big Raptor builders was considering a test for potential customers of their top end race motors.

And Mike(TheRaptorMan), you aren't supposed to hide mod's from the competition.

Hide things? ME?

I never did get the 760 hooking up before it broke 2nd and then UPS lost my engine so "I" will never know what it actually could have done...

^^^ Ubet you going to still consider yourself a "Craycraft" bike after this round of upgrades?

That would be kinda like wrapping a wolf in sheeps fur... Its still going to be a wolf at heart no matter what kind of sig you have and stickers you put on your bike...

Just curious...

Later,
Mike
