Yes, it is a complete different motor not just a bored out 660

I have an 02 Raptor, Yoshi full system, no airbox, filters bolted right up to the carbs and jetting to match, I run 22's with 12/42 gearing. I'll be running them together once I get the 700R broken in and let ya'll know how mine match up against each other.

oops...i thought yamaha would have thrown in a higher comp. piston with the new engine for the xtra umph. has any1 had the chance to dig in to a 700 engine yet? make sure to take pics while ur there

Yamaha XTZ660 dual-sport motorcycle powerplant was used in the 660R. Im not sure what the 700 is based on.

somebody please correct me if im wrong, but didnt they use this engine from a motorcycle. It shares the same stroke w/ lower compression and a bigger bore than the 660. This is what ive been told
