Does anyone know the steps to replace the rear bearings on a 660 Raptor? I am trying to help my son with his ATV and we are kind of stuck! Any guidence would be greatly appreciated.

wellll,
remove the 2 large horizontal bolts that run thru the bearing carrier
remove the 2 set screws on the outer nut on the axle
remove the 2 axle nuts
remove the cotter pin, nut, collar, wheel and rim from right side of axle (slide the collar right off the splines)
slide the axle out of the swingarm(you may need to coax it with a block of wood and a mallet)(be careful to not ruin the threads on the axle) (the rotor falls off the axle,,,and the chain will need to be loosened completely and taken off the rear sprocket as it slides out as well)

once the axle is out,,,you will need to split the 2 pieces of the bearing carrier and remove it from the swingarm
then you will need to remove the seals and bearing from the inside of the carrier (tricky part)(put it in a 250 degree oven for a while to help loosen them)

when you put the new ones in,,,don't forget the spacer between the bearings

put it all back together,,,,and be sure the axle nuts are tight. (they have a tendency to loosen)

depending on how bad the current bearings are,,,,you may have a little or lot of damage to your bearing carrier (you may need to clean it up a little with a grinder or dremel)
