Default maybe a legal question?

i hope this is in the rite forum, i am new here and have a question to ask you guys.

i bought a 1995 blaster was running good. had it for 3 days and rode it twice. well the piston blew up after only 2 days. the seller and i argued for a few days and he agreed to go in half on the parts and he put it back together. well got it back after 2 months and tried and tried to start it for days wouldnt start. one day it just fired up and guess what! locked up after 3 mins of running.

do i have a leg to stand on in small claims court on this or am i stuck with this lemon and a loss of 600.bucks?

come on man, what do you expect when you buy something used?,espeacially a 2-stroke??the engine ran and the machine moved when you bought it so suck up the loss and fix the thing yourself..if i was the seller you would have been paying for all the parts and fixing it yourself the first time..

yes i put oil in the gas and it is also injected.. we did a slight ratio to the gas as well as had oil in the injector tank.. so i know it was lubed, it was about to go when we bought it.. i know that. he told us to do a ratio in the gas and use the injector tank. what he was doing was trying to prolong it from blowing. i would bet 10 dollars to a nicklel he knew it was gonna blow

Sounds like you will lose for buying a 10 yr old quad with no guarantee. The one leg you have to stand on is that you paid additional money to repair the quad and that didn't go well even though you didn't directly pay him for labor.

Did he fire it up when you picked it up after the repair and run it until it was warmed up? Is he in the business of repairing quads?

Is it too late to buy a new piston and rings and get it bored out? Do you think the damage is worse than this? Your best bet is to take this as a lesson well learned and set out to get it fixed. Ultimately, this is going to be your least aggrevating and cheapest route. If I lived closer to you, I would help you out. I hate hearing stories like this.

**** happens man. it only takes $200 and about an hour of work to rebuild a top-end on a 2smoker. Take the jug to a local shop that does inhouse boring and have them do the machine work. i prefer shops that do their own work so i can talk to the guy that actually did the work on my ****.
