Default YFZ oil Change

Ah, heck, I just went to grab my manual and it isn't where it should be. I smell conspiracy! Conspiracy I tell ya! Just one more way the man(Honda) tries to keep us down. LOL. Anyway, it takes 1.96 quarts. I think it only gets like 250-300ml in the case, and the rest goes in the tank just in front of the motor. I just use 2 full quarts. .04 quarts aint gonna kill it. You probably have noticed that after she sits for a while, all the oil drains back into the engine anyway. I don't think you need to worry to much if you put a little extra in the crankcase to start. The big thing is to use the proper oil, something that doesn't have the auto friction modifiers in it(they'll fry your clutch) None of my local department stores carry motorcycle/wet clutch type oils. You CAN find these at auto parts stores and obviously motorcycle shops though. Another pointer, if you don't allready have an aftermarket belly skid on her, now is a good time to buy one. 2 reasons- 1) you need to remove the stock engine skid plate to drain the oil anyway. 2) Most if not all aftermarket skids have drain hole built in, so you won't have to remove an engine skid ever again for an oil change.
