Default Shes a lean runner........

I have adjusted the raptor a lot in the past, but as of now it has a full HMF exhaust and a pro design filter with no lid and airbox cut to hardly nothing. It has 175/180 mains in it and everything else in the carb is stock setup. The needles and pilots are stock. it will start and idle fine, you wack the gas and it bogs out and shoots flames and the plug is very white. By getting dif needles will that allow that much more fuel to flow? i notice ppl in here have 686, full pipe, intake, and cams and are running smaller mains than I am. So what else on the carb should i adjust and change to get more fuel??

Gracias amigos---Rder1169

Id start by adjusting the mixture screw, richer, and see how it goes. If you need to be more than 4 turns out from seated, then the pilot jet is too small. The hesitation and popping and flames are from excessive lean.
The midrange is somewhat self adjusting on cv carbs, so start with the pilot circuit first.

You may be a little fat (rich) on the main jets. Probably why its bogging and shooting flames when you gas it. The white plug could be from too lean of a mixture on you screws (like Hondabuster said). I would try 170/175s, needles on the 4th clip, and set screws at L 2 3/4 turns and R 3 turns and see what that does for ya. I had the same Intake/Exhaust on my 05 and it ran like a bat outta.....well, you know....
..........But I was running a Dynojet kit and jets so that wouldn't apply to your situation.
