I think the banshees are sweet. I didnt think much of them but I saw about 30 drags on sunday at the drag strip and the banshees were beating the 450rs and such in the 1/8 mile. I mean the 450s would take it off the line up till 4th gear then the banshee goes screaming bye...lol lol

 

Banshees are a blast to ride but take a little more effort than the newer 4 strokes. You must learn to keep the power "in the pipe". Banshees are light switches, either on or off. 4 strokes can be ligged a bit more due to their torgue.

I rode a Banshee for the frst time today. All I can say is .... WOW. I'm pretty new to ATVs, all i've rode so far is 4 strokes, but after riding the Banshee...like I said....just... WOW! [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img]

One minor detail.... The Banshee hasn't had ANY updates other than plastic color and the addition of a brake light since the J-arms went away in 1987.
Keeping that in mind, 17 years of production WITHOUT one single update in regards to design shortfalls (Overheating, plastic waterpump impeller, (Insert your favorite reliabililty problem here)), motor, suspension, etc, etc, etc.... I would be willing to stick my neck out and call it OUTDATED!
Granted, Yammiehaw was the ONLY manufacturer that had the testicular fortitude to continue with a high (so called) performance ATV in thier product lineup.
Nontheless, could you imagine what it COULD be today had some updating and technology progression taken place?

I rest my case.
