Kodiak 450 question
#1
After about 15 (real)hours on my quad one of the kids got to it and left the key in the on position. The next time I look I now have 85 hours reading on the hour meter....along with a dead battery of course.
BTW, what kind of stupid design is it to run up the hour meter from just having the key in the "on" position. Makes sense to me to measure actual running time????
Does anyone know how to reset the hour meter on a 2005 Kodiak.? If nothing else I'll just stick a "tiny tach" on there.

Ya I did the same thing only for 4 hrs luckily. Still makes you mad cuz its never accurate again. Not sure if it can be reset without buying a new display unit. Ya it should only measure when the engine is actually running!
