Default Got my 06 yfz BABY!

Took me awhile to reply-- sorry all. Alls I can say is I LOVE this machine!!!! Ive been cruisin it through the feilds everyday since I got it, but Saturday and Sunday were the reall test. Took it out to the dunes - wow. Even with all the stuff ive done to the raptor it doesnt compare to the yfz. This thing flies, I can easily cruise a gear faster, hit jumps harder and I'm less beat up. I love it! Hey I could pull 4th with nobbies up our sand mountain, with the raptor only third with paddles n my other mods! Hey TRXoutlawz Ill be there the weekend of the 7th.

I have the same question as Big Ranger? I'm debating on both, but i'm leaning toward fuel injection, but the YFZ looks like they got the bugs out finally.

I chose the YFZ because I already have a Raptor 660 and although its a great bike its not really the best for jumpin or mx style stuff. Plus I got a buddy with an 01 Rappy- 686 kit, new tranny, full Yoshi exhaust and EFI that he put on and I can take him on my Rappy so the FI wasnt really to tempting to me. I wanted somethin I can ride harder and its noticeably lighter.

So if I were to really get into jumping a lot would there be a big difference between the yfz and the 700. Im leaning toward the 700 because it is said to be the fastest stock quad and it has reverse but I dont want to get it and it be to heavy for catching big airs.

I wouldnt say you cant go big with the Raptor but its just not as well equipped as the yfz, and the weight does make a difference atleast to me.

Did you re-jet it yet? It really wakes them up. They come through really lean from factory, some say on purpose to get them through emissions. My brother and a friend both have yfz's and they noticed a huge differance. The combonation of the factory lean condition and the titanium pipe (It's a lot thinner than steel, but just as strong.) really put put some heat. I rode my brother's before he jetted it and I was wearing shorts. Man was that hot on my leg!!! I had to keep my right foot to the outside edge of the footpeg.
But all in all definetely an awesome quad.
