Raptors suspension
#3
I just put my works triple rate with resoviors from my 400ex onto my raptor, I am sure it'll make a huge difference, the raptor rides like crap compared to my ex! just add a couple spacers on top.
even cut down the tops of the raptor shocks to use them on my 400.
the works 400 shocks were about 7/8" taller and did make a difference (raised up my front a bit which helped with my pro tapers being a bit low/ cr hi bend)

The raptor suspension is ridicuously soft. The only area where it surpasses the ex are at low speeds, wich brings me to this question, Who would pay $6599 to go slow? I don't know if it is still there but in dirtwheels they had a picture of a raptor doing a thirty five foot double and he bottomed the suspension. Come on, I can do that jump on my blaster with my stock suspension without bottoming.

Why is this guy constantly bashing the raptor? What happened to the friendly ATV Forum? The guy asked a simple question and you have to jump all over the raptor...want a cookie for jumping 35 foot on a blaster? Go somewhere else if you don't like it but don't use every post to bash the raptor....Can't you just chill already

it seems to me that hotfmfblaster has too much time on his hands, probably due to lack of a drivers licence. it's too bad that this forum is litered with negitive coments from juviniles, which turns away the knowledgible older enthusists. those more experieced riders can teach the youger riders alot about thier machines and technics. but many don't even use the forums anymore due to the constant uneducated bashing, that goes on here. if you want to see a really bad example of inmature use of forums go to *********.com, it used to be a good forum but now is ruined. i to was young and dumb and owned (destoyed) two suzuki quad sports. i constantly bashed the mighty 250r then one day bought one for myself. it's my favorite quad of all time now and will probably never part with it. i also have a '93 banshee and a 2week old raptor. they all have thier weaknesses, i've bent a-arms and axles and toasted axle bearing on both the 250r and banshee. so far i have bent the grab bar and muffler(due to some extreme wheelies)and tweaked the mini nerf bars on the raptor. i will probably tear up some more parts but thats part of riding in the type of terrain here in mark twain national.every machine has it's weaknesses, the blster for example has terrible brakes and shocks, the stock wheels and tires suck too. it's been 12 years since a manufacture did constant r&d on a quad(the mighty 250r) like they due with dirt bikes and they probably won't start again soon. will have to rely on the aftermarket for upgrading our quads. and to answser everyone questions i have not raced my quads against each other yet but the raptor feels pretty stong against the 310r and i think it will probably take banshee in a drag race. i will let everyone know how they compare when i have time to make a educated comparison.
