I just got off of the phone with the lady at Powroll. They have built several Raptor pipes and are continuing to evaluate them. She said the final pipe would be decided upon as soon as they get the Raptor's engine put back together with all of the engine mods. Then, they will know which pipe not only works best on a stock motor, but also on a modified motor.

She said that the exhuast system makes an unbelievable difference in power and that they were pleased when they got into the engine because of the amount of power they should be able to get out of it. They plan on offering a cam and also a bore kit!

She said that they hoped to have the motor back together and the final version of the pipe selected within a few weeks.

Until then, she suggested (at see level) going up 1 size on the pilot jet and raising the needle, taking out the baffle and removing the snorkle for about a 10% power gain.

Good info Bash. A big bore kit? Wow! If the cam is as conservative as the pipe, we may see 50 rear wheel HP with cam and pipe mods only. The easy 10% gets me thinking...

Ok help me out here. I've been riding off-road vehicles for a couple years but I don't have all the carb. technical down yet. I know what the baffle is and I think I know what the snorkel is(I think). I use to screw with the carburator on my '77 rm but that's about it I left the pros do that s****. Ok where is the pilot jet and how do you go up one size. How and where do you raise the 'needle'? Anyone up for a quick class or two...thanks. I would appreciate it. Could I go without adjusting the carb. and taking out the baffle and snorkle.

She said they should decide on a pipe within a few weeks, so I would think that they would be available after that. I didn't get a cost.

She told me that at sea level, just raising the needle should be good enough for relieving the restrictions in the stock system.
