My honest opinion would be the Z400. First its a four-stroke with reverse, second you can do mods to it still using the stock piston, bore, and cams that really make this quad fly. If you to do the same mods to a stock 400EX it would not match up to it and it is air cooled engine.
If you like two-strokes and want to stick with them, then the Banshee rules all.......

About the banshee i dont think i will get it becuae if the motor blows its to pistons to fix rather than one correct? Also i dont have enough money to be forking out on replacing two pistons. i am looking for a fast reliable qaud. Can i expect that from the Z 400 ?

My friend's Z400 has been pretty reliable, although it definately isn't fast.

if you want something fast and reliable, id say go with a yfz or trx 450. my buddies brother bought a yfz the year they came out and he has never had to do anything but change the oil and filters and put in gas. the z400 is suposed to be a really good wheeler too that you can make as fast as a yfz for cheaper but i have no expierence iwith it so i dont know.
