I just ordered my stainless swingarm skid from Pro-Tec. I called to see if one was available, I talked to the owner he said that he had the prototype done , and would start production next week. He told me that mine would ship next Wed. I asked if it would hurt ground clearance, and he said no. He said that DG's skids looked like snow shovel's by comparision.
Price 130.00 + 12.00 Shipping
Still 45 beans less that the Yamaha piece.
I will post some pics as soon as I get it.
See Ya, Drew

guess what!!

My Raptor was the prototype for pro-tect. It was on display at the Ironman last weekend. Pro-tect is the best they mmake all the plates for the GNCC pros. The cool thing is I get all my skids for free since they used mine as a prototype.

here are pics of it on display at the ironman.

Default Pro Tec Stainless Skids for Raptor

Would you recommend the stainless over the GYT rear skidplate? Any complaints with stainless one? Can you send pictures?
