How much for new Raptor out the door?
#1
I'm going to try to make a deal on one tomorrow and I'm wondering how much anyone has paid out the door? I'd just like to know what seems like a fair deal. So far my best price shopping around here in So Cal is $7600 otd. Is this good?

Quicksand,
Dealers get these for about $6200.00, if we assume your taxes and other stuff is about 10% the bike is now up to around $6820.00. the rest of the money is gross profit for the dealer. The dealer also gets an additional 3%-5% kick back from the manufacturer for selling the quad which they will pocket. They also receive a year end bonus paid to them by the factories for the volume of sales produced. From the gross profit he still has to pay a sales commission, his lights, building cost, support staff and other incidentals to stay in business. Is $7500.00 a deal; not really, but driving to another state to get one cheaper would cost more in gas then you could ever save. You might be able to get a few hundred off that with some negotiation, but at some point the dealer knows his got a quad that is in demand and will forgo your sale to save it for someone who is willing to pay more. It never hurts to negotiate though and push for more savings. The worst that can happen is that the dealer says no. Personally I would push for a few hundred off the 7500.00 price. A decent deal would be something under $7000.00 otd.

Thanks for the information there. At least I can go into my dealer with a little heads up. I've always gone into a sales situation figuring that the dealer can always say no but I try to initially shoot for the moon. I just needed a place to start to go up from.
