yeah i have 450 shocks on my raptor. Just had to grind away a little material on the upper mount and also remove the inside material off of the bottom mount. You will also have to remove a little material from the shock itself. On the bottom there is more material around the shock mount on the shock itself that needs removed so it can move freely when mounted. Took about 30 minute with a die grinder and carbide bit.
Made a world of difference in the whoops for me. If you have a good deal on a set of 450 shocks then go for it. Not hard at all to mod to fit.

The 450 shocks work awesome on the raptor. You do have to do some grinding to get them to work though. You need to shorten the top mount a little bit for clearance. For the bottom mount you need to grind some material out of the A Arm NOT on the shock body itself. The bottom mount on the shock is much thicker on the 450 shock than on the stock raptor shock. If you want some picures let me know and I will see if I can get some decent shots for you. As for the shocks you should be able to find a decent set on Ebay for about 200.00, maybe less. The 06 shocks I think are sprung a little lighter that the prior years so keep that in mind as well.

I have my digital camera at the office but I did some scrounging online and found some pictures that should give you and idea of what you need to do. Let me know if you have any more questions, I'll be happy to help.
