the rappy is €4000 for a '03
the 450 is €4400 for a '04
over here in ireland both are fairly good prices, ive been doing a lot of looking aroung on both bikes

ha ha im surprised nobody has said it before now, i know i must be mad gettin a 450 or a 660 as a total beginner but when i first seen a yfz450 about 2yrs back i fell in love with it and its looks, ive always had an interest in ATVs but never acted on it until now, ill probably wont get past 2nd or 3rd gear for ages, but knowing me and having not much fear ill prob be trying jumps in about a week of having the bike

I myself would go with the yfz. I don't really like the raptor stance. But hey that is my opinion, and your the one with the money [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

if your going to put a lot of mods into it go with the rap

 

If you plan on racing in the future I would go with the YFZ. Stock the YFZ is more stable than the raptor

 

i have my helmet goggles and body armour already, i have ordered my boots from AXO should have them fairly soon too so im ok on the protection side of things
its looking like the rap for me, considering its more responsive to mods, the tallness of it is not a prob and also the one im checking out has a widened axle so it shouldnt feel tippy at all, im gonna do a search on the forum here on which is the best mods to go for (best pipes, jet, air etc..)

 

i would definatly go with the YFZ i have one and i have ridden raptors. The YFZ pulls a lot hard and has better acceleration. I dont know about top speed but i know i aways beat the raptors in drags. The YFZ is awsome for any kind of riding.

 

i went from a 250 trials bike to a brandnew 05 raptor, and i never had a racing quad. people told me it was stupid, but its how you ride and know that it can be dangerous. i am okay though and unhurt. i was in 4th gear after 3 days of having it, trust me you will too as you will like the speed and acceleration. !!!
