I want to get an extended swing-arm, probably 2-3". will this throw off the balance of my bike very much when I jump it?

 

Acutally a raptor with about a 2" longer swingarm is more balanced and easier to control in the air and on the way up and down than a stock swingarmed machine. The rear shock will need to be revalved for the extra leverage though to maintain performance.

 

Thanks for the info! How much does re-valving cost? Would it just be worth it to go aftermarket, because I am gonna go aftermarket on the front anyways?

 

Revalve is usually a couple to a few hundred bucks. A new rear typically runs 600 and up. The OEM rear raptor shock is a good base unit and rebuilds well, I'd just upgrade it not replace it.

 

TCS rebuilds suspension just as good as any aftermarket company for alot cheeper TCS just tell them how much longer your swingarm is and what you primarily do with you quad

any good advice on which front shocks to get? I dont want to get outrageously expensive shocks but I want quality parts, oh yeah I also plan on widening out a couple inches if that helps.

The cheapest are works shocks, and tcs which are really good. Elka shocks are probably the best, but they are more expensive. Do you want reservouirs on the shocks?

 

I dont really know if I need reservoirs. I do want to get at least a dual rate spring.
