when u take the air box lid of what does it do does it make it faster?

 

Get more air into the engine...then if u jet up like you should you get more air and fuel into the engine=more power

to a certain extent.

 

If you let more air in, you have to let more air out so you have to switch to a les restrictive pipe as well. If you just take the air box lid off and nothing else, not only will the engine run bad, but it will be running lean and could do serious damage to the motor.
