Your fouling a plug on a four stroke? You super rich. Jet the main jet down.

Just put a smaller main jet and then plug chop it again. REad your plug and change the main jet again if needed.

if you're not sure what you're doing then just take it to a repair shop and let a pro do it. If a 4 stroke is fouling plugs something definitely isn't right.

if it's running rich and fouling plugs then why do you think it's going to melt a piston

you would have to be pretty lean and hear some knocking/pinging/detonating before you start hurting a piston.

Rich doesnt burn up pistons, you're plug will foul and the bike will quit before any major damage is done. Lean is what kills. Somehow I'm guessing your buddy's waverunner wasnt a four stroke running rich, or if it was then it had other reasons for going south.

Your bike looks stock from your signature, the jetting should still be stock if you havent messed with it, and without any modifications I dont see why you would. I'll bet your choke is stuck on or a float is stuck.

i know the stock design crap filtration system has been letting a lot of dirt get by....but besides that it idles somewhat rough at times, and other times just fine....i never have a problem taking it through the powerband ie. no backfires, sputters etc.
