VP C-23 Racing Fuel
#1
Scored a barrel of C-23 Racing fuel for free. This stuff is 119 Octane and was wondering if it could work in my raptor? I figured id have to mix it with premium but not sure what ratio. Can anyone offer some insite? Thanks

where you are at I would run regular pump gas on anything with 11:1 or less compression ratio or less. If you are between 11.5:1 and 12.5:1 then try 101 octane and only go higher octane if it is detonating.

running that kind of race fuel is worthless in a stock motor. If you're not running nitrous, boost or high comp then you could potentially loss horsepower.
There's no point in running a fuel you can't take advantage of.
Like warwgn said...stick to 93 unless your're pinging/detonating or if you have increased cylinder pressure.

Oooooooo. Now my answer is answered. I asked it in another thread. So, putting in higer octane than normal in a stock quad wouldnt do anything? Not at all?

try 93 and see how it works, if it runs too hot or detonates then go up to 1/2 and 1/2 mix of 101 and 93 or 101 if you still have issues. Most important it to make sure you reset your float level when you switch fuels, different race fuels will affect the floats. I'm running 91 octane on my 686 and have no problems all I added was an inline 25 fin cooler and it works great, but I am at 5500 feet above sea level so it drops my compression by 20Psi so my 12:1 has less compression than yours.

You would run like absolute crap with 119 octane unless you had either a turbo/supercharged motor (at VERY high boost) or sky high compression ratio. With a lightly modded Raptor, you might mix in some 100 octane with 93 premium, plenty for that motor.
