Default Raptor shifting issues

I have a 2002 Raptor 660. I've been having problems shifting from 2nd gear to first gear. It happens even when sitting still. It goes into neutral fine, but won't shift on down to 1st about half of the time. Sometimes, I have to get off of the bike and pull the lever up and down by hand to get it into first. I switched to an IMS direct shifter now, and the problem is still there. Any ideas? Thanks.

Make sure your clutch is well adjusted and not engaged or applying pressure when it shouldnt be.

make sure your clutch cable is adjutsted properly and make sure the lever is not hitting something. When I changed my lever I had it one tooth off. Made the reach to 1st gear much better but couldnt make it into 5th.

If you have the stock sprocket guard, you'll probably have to trim off the bottom corner for clearance. It's only plastic, easy to trim.
