What do you guys do to protect your fourwheeler from theft. Alarm? heavy duty locks/chains? watch dog?[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] I travel alot around to places in the east to go quad riding with my freinds. One day, we slept over night at a Red Roof Inn hotel. we had our quads in the trailer and we saw people trying to steal it in the middle of the night, (our room was on the first floor and was next to the truck). His dad came out with a bat while he told us to stay inside and call the cops. they ran away and we never found out who they were. They snipped the chains almost all of them. If we didnt saw what happened, just think what would have happened to the quads. Only if gave them just a little bit more time. The next day, when we went out to take a good look at the quads in the morning, guess what. The Z's pipe was missing! How do you guys secure your quads, sleeping at night peacefully?

 

by keeping it inside my garage, and by not leaving it out in a hotel parking lot[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

 

The only time I had mine at a hotel, I told the manager I wanted a room on the first floor, with a parking spot right in front of it. Slept with the curtains open and the 10mm loaded. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] The trailer had a ball lock and a lock on the release. The quads were locked together at the frames by a cable and a very big lock. Didn't have any problems, but you never know what could happen.

 

I have a enclosed trailer i haul in and back it up to something so back door cant be opened even if they cut locks.

 

Enclosed triailer......with those little locks that don't have any area to be cut(unless a torch is used)........


At home, we just throw them in the shop......its not locked......not a big concern around that area......

Mark, you got the quad yet?

 

nope, but i ride my friends V 700 all the time. I also test rode a LE blaster on Monday after school. My freind went to get his 700r yamaha recommended oil. Me and him, we're like brothers. ahhh.
