Default Trinity 734 Raptor?

Dyno numbers mean nothing...not Trinity's, not Kenz's, not Craycraft's. Getting out and running the bikes is what the bottom line is, and if that 734 Raptor is set up right, I bet it's a blast.

People can say Trinity inflates thier numbers, or only so and so's dyno is accurate...but the ole' SEAT OF THE PANTS DYNO is the one that matters the most.

Actually it's the chassis setup and how efficiently the power gets to the ground. After that what matters most is a good base run and the increase in performance over that.

Batteries must be dying in the old wireless keyboard...

What I'm saying is that people rag on Trinity and the dyno numbers they come up with. But regardless of who's dyno you use, the only one that should matter is the seat of the pants of the guy that put down the $$ for the quad and a the motor.

I see your point, it'd be a shame to spend lots of money and not feel a significant change when you get back on the bike. Unfortunately the butt dyno is very easily influenced by pre-concieved notions. If you are expecting it to be quicker, it might seem quicker than than it actually was. If you were expecting a rocketship for an 800 dollar build then you'll be dissapointed, even if the bike does run significantly better than it did before. You almost need a placebo test. I have seen buddies drop 4k+ into a bike and be disappointed with the ole' seat of the pants dyno....but then again I have seen some drop the same amount of $$ into a bike and need glue to keep the seat of the pants dyno on the bike!

But the bottom line is that no dyno can compare how fast two quads will be.

I am not here to promote trinity, and dont want to get into the this shop against that shop. This is how I look at, a few cc's, a little compression, and some porting for alittle more than $800 on the new raptor 700 and you will be impressed, I know I am. I think the fuel injection has alot to do with it. I have run with alot of other bikes and the power differance is obvious. My butt dyno is smiling

More power is better....cost and time are the only influential factors. I wouldnt care to belittle whose dyno says what.

The first one to the top of the hill is the winner.

Id love to drag you up Comp or Olds in Glamis....only to see how much you can beat me by.

there are no 2 dynos in this world that will give you the same reading. they may not be accurate but they are consistent run after run. that is why they were designed to be a TUNING device not a TESTING device. the only way to test who has the faster machine is go heads up and hope your skill and lane matches up with the other guy.

I do most of my riding out at glamis, I spent yesterday afternoon at olds. Before the 734 kit I was going up olds in 3rd, now I can wind it out in 4th, cant quite pull 5th though. Piped 700's and 450's are usually a litle over 3/4's the way up the hill when I hit the top, so their is deffinately a power improvement. If were ever out on the same weekend I wouldnt have a problem going for a little ride.
