I removed the cylinder and head myself and sent it to them, I took almost a month before I got them back, I guess this was one of the first they did for the 700 and a first for the shop that did the nikasil on the cylinder so they wanted to make sure they got everything right. I was told that when Trinity sends the cylinder off for the nikasil it takes a week to get there, a week at their shop and a week to get back to Trinity. I now understand that they can rush that part of the process for a small fee, so I would think it would only take two or three weeks now?
Anyhow as for prices they are listed on Trinitys website.
I brought my raptor to Triniyt for dynotuning, I started out with a Dobeck controller, but it was not able to deliver enough fuel for the big bore so I had them install their computer and their exhaust while they had it. As far as tuning their computer I cant tell you much since they tuned it on their dyno, I need to get the directions and take a look at them, it looks cool anyhow.

I thought this topic would be some good reading, and for the most part it has been. But I thought this site was for people interested in advise about thier yamaha atvs. It seems some people on this forum are more interested in bashing the riders nationality. Now being a proud Canadian, this offends me and I'm quite sure most Americains know that the only thing you have that we don't is warm weather year round. Maybe it is time to educate yourself a little before attacking someone for who they are, I know a Canadian would.

I may be nieve, but what is this "Canada" you guys are taking about. Is this a new state or something?

And what is wrong with the people from this place?

Just curious, thanks!

I have a 2005 R1, it's amazing how slow the rest of the world moves:-)

On the original Raptor 700 question, I think your best bet is NOS. You might talk to a shop that's done NOS on Yamaha motorcycles, I'll bet a lot of the FI equipment is similar. I don't know what's available for rear swingarms but a big hit of NOS might require a longer swingarm. There are light weight A-arms available for YFZ450s, I guess they bolt right up. Lighter tires, rims, and shocks will help. If you are all about drag racing, a hollow rear axle and spindle mount wheels will cut quite a bit of weight but they are expensive upgrades.

I have been riding it for close to a month now, as far as how it runs, it is torque monster, I dont know how else to put it, it,s a blast to ride in the dunes, I am in the process of replacing the clutch though as it is slipping, I am looking into what I can do to beef it up, I will have it up and running again after thanksgiving.

Everyone says to use a GYT-R clutch kit ($100).

My 690 is doing the same thing.

Did you extend the swing arm?
