Try turning the kill switch to "run". That may sound funny, but you wouldn't believe how many times I've run into people who's bikes wouldn't turn over, and it turned out to be that the kill switch was off. A lot of people don't think to check the kill switch because they ususally just use the key. Try pulling it over to see if it will run. If it does, then check your wiring to your start button.
