To lighten it up, remove the front bumper, parking brake, shave the front fenders, get a light weight set of rims and tires. If you dont already have an aftermarket exhaust, get one, as they are lighter as well. Take the lid off the air box, or find an airbox eliminator kit for it. If you dont do any night riding, remove the headlights, and tail\brake light. I wouldnt reccomend taking the rear grab bar off, but its an option. An aftermarket swingarm may or may not be lighter.

Shave fenders, get an ac racing bumper if you still want a bumper, aftermarket exhaust, aftermarket handlebars, a/m rims, 2 ply tires, jenny craig diet...(lol), lights are optional if ya dont need them, DONT TAKE OFF GRAB BAR!...There will be that time when you wanna show off to someone with your wheelie skills and it just wont be there for you and you will be art super great risk of getting a new silencer and maybe a whole new exhaust itself!A/m swingarm, A/m A-arms, A/m steering stem, a/m shift lever?
Well i have more ideas but i dont wanna share them right now....j/k
Hope i helped a little.......
