I know this is probably just another crazy, stupid post for some but for me it was FUN and I had to share! Today I took my Raptor and Banshee out the straightest, smoothest, most level road I could find today with my new GPS to see what the top speed was on each. I made 3 passes BOTH ways with both machines for a total of 6 passes on each machine to be fair. I am a 148 pound guy and all speeds were achieved with me with my chest to the gas tank in speed mode ; ) Overall the piped banshee had a slight top speed advantage against my stock raptor. Here are the results:

Banshee Best Three Runs
77.9
78.1
78.4

Raptor Best Three Runs
73.4
73.7
74.1

I promise I'll stop now...

Your banshee must be piped gramps.I got my *** WOOPED badly by a banshee with Bills pipes on it on sunday.I think I lost all kinds of top end with the 12 tooth front and the 42 tooth rear sprocket changes. But its perfect gearing for me in the trails so I really needed the gear change. The dude on the banshee was pretty happy though

x250rDude,

What's your top speed with the 12/42 sprocket combo according to your GPS?

Thanks!

Yeah its got toomeys, jet kit, and Prodesign with K&N. No other mods except PRM Skids, and ITP Holeshots (stock size rear / larger fronts)In sand and on long smooth flats it flat out whoops my Raptors but which ticks me off because my wife usually rides the shee = ) But get on some rutted whooped out trails and the raptor shines. Now I just wish I could combine the two = )
