I broke mine in like the owners manuel said and it runs perfect.I think the people that built this engine know alittle bit more on how to break it in than me and you.

They are just trying to keep you from hurting yourself on a new machine. Think about it for a minute, who stands to gain if your quad doesnt get broken in the best it can and has a shorter engine life? That's right, the manufacturer who sells the parts, licenses aftermarket parts, and is there for you when you get sick of always fixing the one you have and want a new one. Lawyers right the owners manual, engineers get minimal input.

The yfz comes with a 6 month warranty with the option to buy even a 3 year.If the yfz is not brokin in like they say and there are problems ,looks to me like they are the ones that lose not you!

Taking your argument into consideration though, that would lead me back to my original stance. You might as well do what you can with the quad during the initial warranty so that you know that if it's going to break, it does it when its covered by the manufacturer.
If you'd like to keep your head in the sand be my guest. I bet you think dealerships are always truthful, knowledgeable, and never driven solely by self-advancement either...

My extended warranty on my YFZ and my Kodiak 450 are through Yamaha. I have had the Kodiak back twice and the yfz once with not a bit of problem. All three times they were repaired before they told me they would be ready.Sounds to me you need to look for a better dealer.
