Ratcheting noise???
#1
I'm new to the forum, so hello everybody
I've got a noise that sound like a loud ratchet when my 2002 Kodiak is in reverse under load and mostly the noise only occurs when turning. I think it's a CV joint but I'm not sure. A buddy says he thinks it could be the front diff! OH NO! Help please.

There are no "visible" cracks, tears or holes in the boot. But I do use it to plow and wonder if this would speed up the wear on the joint.
P.S. I traded my 98 Wolverine on a 2001 Scrambler and I wish (almost daily) I had the Wolverine back. Better bike and better dealer!!

No, I don't. But I put in the rubber spring "stiffeners". Wolverine is excellent quad with tire upgrades and the in/out 4x4 aftermarket switch. I'm not sure I agree with independent rear suspension.
