Default Raptor 700 = T*RD Help!!!!!!!!!!!!

Something is wrong in that scenario. I have an 06 700R with HMF Pipe,GytrAir filter and Dobeck controler. 14/50 gearing on 9 paddle extremes 22x11x8 and I have raced all the 450s Honda and Yamaha even the 07s and many of the 660s and several 660s with motor mods, piston and cams and they dont come close to my 700 and I have yet to be beaten by any 450.
No the 700s dont rev high, but dont need to, just short shift and go, they are torque monsters.
I raced a 07 yzf 450 and beat him bad and then his son who was s very good rider and weighed 120lbs soaking wet rode it, I am 200lbs and I still beat him by over 3 lenghts, even when he holeshoted me once.

Nothing is wrong in the scenario.... A piped, filtered, and jetted properly 450 will spank a 700r mod for mod in the dunes, no questions asked. The 450s are the kings of the crop with stock motors.

Wrong!
I have raced many 450s and all I do is sand and I eat em alive everytime, and they all think they are faster until we race and it simply does Not turn out that way, Fact. its happened Many, many times and many witnessess, honestly I have never ben beaten by a 450, I keep hearing the talk, but no 450 has done the walk past me, Never.
I just short shift and torque away from them.

NO matter what you buy, it will need an aftermarket air filter and a pipe, regardless of carbs or fuel injection. so that cost is the same period.

NOw the fuel injection boxes run $200 to 300, which is more than the cost of jets this is a fact. But consider jetting is trial and error. for you and I and the shops as I have experienced. But with injection you can re jet it in a matter of secconds anytime and anywhere. that is worth way more than the money. Plus you push the button and it always starts and never needs the choke adjusted or revved up to keep it runnung its like night and day. Carbs are like model Ts, way outdated and a hassle. MY buddie just bought a new quad and I do the maintenence and mech, work on it and I sure wish it had EFI, what a pain in the neck with carbs.

The cam is good and it is finally available, it took them a long tome to develop a cam for the EFI, way after the 734 kit and pro port, but remember an engine is a big air pump, and if things are not done in concert with one another you can even lose power, like a high lift cam with low compresion can actually reduce the volumetric effeciency of a motor. And the Raptor only has a 9.2. compression ratio, so for a cam to be effective, the compression must be raised to make the cam work properly. But remember that hospower is a derivitive of torque, and it is torque that moves things.
Also dont go too big on compression for normal riding, it can render the slectric start ineffective when the engine is hot and who needs that. And running race gas is expensive and is a hassle to deal with. 11.1 is ok, maybe 12.1 but anything higher is for racing only!

yo yall crazy but randy sounds like he knows what he's talking about thanks cause im looking for a EFI myself and i also need a full exhaust. my friend was getting he's yfz 450 dyno'd and the guy there told me to get the Ron Woods pipe which cost about $400 for the full exhaust. he said that it was better than other pipes out? (dont know but i want the best.) O ya clifster good look on your mods too im in the field on that one.
