Default SLED PROBLEMS- 96 YAM/V-max XT 600

Please help me sled king ! I've Tried everything . Its my clutch I think but let me tell you...Well I have A new belt, put it on and now the sled moves at an Idle, when it should have about a 4000 stahl .....The belt seems to hang up on the front clutch assembly.Like the belt is too small-- checked that....Took apart both the front and back clutch assemblys cleaned and greased only parts that should have grease. Assembelled together test run proves problem still there. And To boot now the clutch seems to slip in the begining????But if i let off the gas a little it catches up to it self and still does a 110mph, But lacks those sweet rooster tails it used to shoot out. I recently upgraded the track from stock .50 inch tooo a 1.25 " rip saw racing track..Could that have something to do with it ?

If the sled moves at an idle (below 1500 rpms, and with the track on the ground), you either have a belt that is too short, or it is adjusted too tight.

Your lack of rooster tails is possibly due to the wrong belt (or adjustment), or the added traction that you are now getting fron the deeper lugged track. You won't know for sure until the belt problem is fixed.
