Hi everyone,
I'm looking for info on the 500RZ engine (that famous 500cc V4 2 stroke).
I was thinking about putting it in my banshee, but I have trouble finding info about the engine. the 350 is no problem, but the 500 is less common.
I'm looking for the angle the V makes, size, weight, pipes (asking myself where I could put them except on the side), airbox (I thought about putting the airbox where the gas tank sits, and relocating the tank somewhere else, depending on the new balance of the quad).
I know this topic should rather go in the "project quad", but here, more people will see it.
PS. Do you know Tim Allen? He's cool.

I saw on macdizzy a pic of a 500RZ quadzilla, and the pipes were displayed like you say...but if that's the only way it can be done, I better forget it.

I would do it if I had enough time to do it "quickly" (within a year). But I have to go to school, work (1 day a week) and RIDE. I don't even say that when it will be in parts, I won't be able to ride it out of the garage. If I had all the parts more than my machine, I would do it...but it's gonna cost $$$ (only the frame is 700$...at least + AArms+ Axle + Shocks (way expensive) + wheels +plastics +... neverending). For now, I'll simply polish head and cyl when I do the top end new. Those 2 pipes on the side are THE problem...I won't be able to ride tight trails anymore!!
I'll keep thinking about it though. If I do it, you'll see pics...don't worry about that.
