Raptor 660 vs. Raptor 700r

Blazin - You do need evidence if you intend to impact people.
Maddog - Thanks for the info. I don't doubt that there is a dyno sheet out there that is very impressive. I think your average results are right on.
Fasterthanyou22 - Don't use the *** word. You are only 13. Smart, but still only 13.

i just got back from the dunes, and i raced a ton of 700r and i never lost to one of them. some we stock some were not. i race two white a white bro's pipe and another with a pro circuit, and i had 3-4 lengths on them every time. but the 700r that had the ct pipe gave me the most run for my money and i beat him...barely...

My computer is messing up so this might post twice.
What mods do you have done to yor 660? Did the 700R's have minor headwork done? Were the guys as good at racing as you?
Respectfully, my DS in my sig beats our 700R every time. That is not evidence that DS's are faster than Raptor 700's because mod for mod they are not.

Fasterthanyou22,
You are right to a point. There comes a point in the sand drag world where the sheer size and strength of the Rotax (DS650) motor internals allow it to have much more reliable horsepower and torque without breaking. I have not seen Raptor 660 time sheets of less than 4.6 in 300'. DS's are on record to have reached 4.3 on a motor build with 2 seasons of racing already under it's belt without a turbo. Also we are up to 850cc on the Rotax, we can get into the 900's for displacement. I haven't seen a Raptor over 800 yet. That doesn't mean they don't exist. I just haven't seen them.
Your point, however, regarding a piped and intaked 660 vs. a piped and intaked DS is well taken. I would lose that race and that argument.
BTW, I have not yet conceded that the 660 is quicker than the 700R in a piped and intaked state. That point has not yet been objectively demonstrated.

DSNUT, so you're saying that a ds with a pipe/intaked and jetted vs a raptor with the same mod(full system,no airbox lid and jetted properly) would actually lose? because i thought the ds would have way more horsepower than a raptor......Just wondering because I've never race a ds.......and I saw i video with a raptor with only a pipe vs a ds 720 and the ds only win by 0.7 seconds)I dont know if its true thought...I thought that the difference would a been even bigger?? srry bout my english 2 lol
And i've never saw a 700 raptor, I decided 2 buy the 660 instead(sold my predator because it was always breaking) and im happy with that decision because I heard alot of good things about the raptor
thanx for youre attention folks and srry bout my english 2 haha
