Hello All
I am about to purchase a second atv. Its a 04 Kodiak 450, comes with plow, mud lites, ITP rims ,rear box storage, rack extensions and windshield and it only has 300 kmhs on it. Picking it up for 5000 canandian dollars. What problems do these bikes have, and whats good about them. I could not pass up this deal, so i boght it without any research.
Thanks

Relax, you just got one of the best atv's out there. It may not be the biggest or baddest but it's one of the most dependable, go anywhere, reliable atv's out there. Good choice!

Why is it for sale?
When you ride it ,check it for unpleasant noises...the squeeky back brake is normal, but otherwise should sound solid.
Make sure theres coolant in the overflow tank, then stand it on end and look at the bottom, look for cracks, especially in the swingarm, and frame area. Look to see if mud is packed in, or if its clean. Doesnt sound like it was abused...but you still gotta check.
Sounds like a good deal. The 450 has all the features of a grizz, except the power, and the bad gas milage.

Thanks for the replys guys. I am very excited to get it for the misses. It was my nieghbours up at the cottage. He is an 80 year old man and the machine has NEVER EVER been in any mud at all!!! Only ever used to plow and bring in fire wood. Its looks to be very very clean, even the air filter looks clean. I will post some pics when i pick it up. I have an 04 Arctic Cat 650. Which now that i have worked out all the bugs is a great machine!!!!!
