banshee problems

Default banshee problems

i have a 01 banshee stock...i was riding it in the snow and it seems to bogg down alot.... i took it in my heated grage and let it warm up for a 1/2hr...took it out still bogged down is there some adjustment somewhere i have to change for cold weather riding? thanks

After it warms up open the bleed screws on the bottom of the carbs for a couple of seconds and drain the bowls. You might have had a bubble of water freeze in there. Generally most engine run harder in the colder weather, but that is because there is more air molecules in the same given space. For that same reason engines will run leaner. Pull your plugs and see if they are clean. If so then you more than likely need to step up on main jetting and also raise the needle (drop the clip) one notch. Turning in the air screws on the carbs will make a tiny difference but not much.
