the raptor is a fun quad and i would get a 12 t front sprocket if you want more low end power.

My friend zech's raptor does about 55. He weighs about 140. That little rappy with 17/40 gearing pulled 70mph. Thats no b/s, it ran right beside me z. Took it a while to get there though.

 

i finally rode a 350 today...what i said above i dont mean now for a 350 its not a bad quad but i still like thew 2 strokes...

 

Is the little rappy stock??

If it is stock i really dont see it haveing enough HP to pull 17/40 gear!!

Im turning more HP than a Z and i run a 15/44 (makes gears longer for the 6 speed) And i mite hit 70 and thats if the dyna ignition dont shut me down at 9500 rpm.

 

Yes this raptor was stock. But it never reach over say...6000rpm's. give or take. That thing was a dog, no power, well my rancher would take it on a quater mile, so if that tells you anything.

 

Well I've ridden a Warrior (Raptor in sheeps clothing) and it will maybe do 55 tops. It was a TOURQUE beast though. The only thing I hated about it was the handling and top speed. But then again, I'm used to 2 stroke dirtbikes.. Not a bad quad, congrates on picking up the 350 Raptor.

 

I have a 2005 350 Raptor and I was running with another quad who had a speedometer, he said we were going 68mph, with more throttle left, but ran out of room. I love my Raptor.

Nope sorry, thats what his speedometer read. On a flat dirt road. Maybe it was off, but thats what it read. I had stock gearing at the time 13/40, I now have 12/40. I dont care for the speed. I just started racing mx, so I haven't even had to get in the top gears, nor need to. Maybe the Warriors are slower, shoot, my old 250ex beat my brothers old warrior off the line. I think the Raptors are a lil stronger, different carbs and other stuff, but I could be wrong. All I'm going by is what my buddy said we were doing. I dont claim to be a rocket scientist.
