Best exhaust depends a lot on how big of an issue noise is. I personally would go with an hmf slip on, they are a pretty versatile exhuast. They look good, sound good, and have the option of a quiet core to keep noise levels down. Air filters also depend mostly on what kind of riding you do. K&N filters flow better than any others, but in dusty conditions they can let small particles of dirt through. If you don't ride in dusty dry areas a lot go with the K&N, they are the most expensive of all filters, but give the best power gain, and are very simple and cheap to clean. If you ride in dusty conditions then a dual element foam filter like a UNI or TwinAir is the the best way to go, since they do a better job of capturing small particles. With either filter an outerwear filter cover is a good investment, especially if you ride in wet muddy conditions.

Well, I just checked and hmf doesn't make a pipe for the timberwolf yet. I just checked a couple other good compaines, big gun and pro circuit, but they don't make any for the timberwolf either. I'll let you know if I find any good exhausts.

Well, I looked everywhere I could think of, even on ebay, and could only find 3 kinds of exhaust for the timberwolf. You have Cobra Utility Series, Cobra Quiet Series, and a DG exhaust to choose from. None of these have great reputations, but if you really want an exhaust go with the cobra quiet series. All of these exhuasts have a reputation of being poorly built and engineered, but the dg and utility series are both obnoxiously loud and sound like a lawnmower without a muffler. I don't know much about the quiet series, but it has to be better than the others if it's not as annoyingly loud.
