The stock NGK plug is a B8ES. The gap is .28. As for the oil injection, I just disconnected hoses and plugged things up.

Former Banshee?

What happened to it?

One of my favorite parts of this site is following the continuing saga of the mighty one cylinder Banshee. I've been keeping an eye out for the latest development but havn't seen any of your posts for a while. I guess it's a lost cause huh?

I hope you have better luck with the Blaster.

I would have liked to keep the banshee but it just costs too much.. it was fun but kinda freakin crazy.. I dont weigh very much and it was one hell of a ride, pretty cool but a little much for me. I personally think the blaster is perfect for me, there arent many places around here where you can open up a banshee. I think I got the good end of the deal, the banshee was a basketcase.. The blasters are actually in pretty good condition, the picture looks crappy but its been cleaned up alot since, put the tires and rims from the banshee on it, cut and painted the front fenders (did it right) looks nice, got new handlebars,exc.. airfilter... little at a time and they'll be nice. Im sure Ill break them soon... pretty good track record since spring.. been through a y2k xr100, 93 polaris350l 4x4, a bada$$ lifted toyota 4x4, and a banshee.. :-) the sad thing is every one that I broke when it broke I wasnt hammering on it :-( hopefully the blaster will be a little better but idunno....

It was an 86 4x4, painted dark purple, tinted windows, scenery etched back window, 32in tires, chrome rims, all the little plastic pieces like on the hood and roof,exc.. thing would go ANYWHERE, but leaked oil pretty bad. The reason I got rid of it was cuz probally a week after I bought it I was pulling out of my friends driveway and when I would try to shift it would just grind until I came to a stop. Have no idea what it was... all the gears worked but you couldnt shift while moving. So I traded it for the banshee, that lasted about 10 minutes.. Id love to have a nice toyota, great trucks, fun to drive, that purple beast everybody would wave when you went by.. kinda funny. Oh yeah, 5th gear was tweaked, sometimes it worked sometimes it diddnt. She had a rough life.

oh yeah, it had a 3 inch body lift, which was plenty with the big tires. I got the wheeler running yesterday, one of the reeds were busted, I epoxyed it and threw it back together, wouldnt you know it started right up, then I busted it again, so now Im off to order some reeds, any suggestions?

was sitting around the house today... wating for my reeds and other stuff to show up.. being bored I decided to see if I could just "jerry rig" it.. so I got a plastic diaper box, cut out a reed, and wouldnt you know?! it worked!! boyseen eat your heart out.. Im runnin pampers!!
anyways, it was fun, finally got to ride my blaster, even starts up first kick! riding the blaster was pretty sketchy compared to the banshee, it is a hella lot tippier, first gear seems really low, but I like it, you gotta get right on top of it and ride it like a uuhhh...... you get the picture.. I could see somebody that does not know how to ride getting seriously hurt on it, if you just try steer without leaning you either go straight or on 2wheels.. gotta slide :-) fun, fun, fun, that made my day.. she's smokin like a bstrd, but thats ok, Right now there is mixed in the tank and the oil inj. is still connected, I would like to disconnect the oil injection but really dont want to mess anything up, There is a little gear thingie that goes into the motor, do you have to take that out when disconnecting it or do you just leave it in? Anybody?
