why does a '98 banshee seem to sit up higher or looks like it has more rear wheel travel thand the newer models, lets say the '04 models. I was thinking about buying one and i've noticed that the '98 models stock, seem to sit alot higher than the '04 models. Can somoeon explain this to me?

I don't think anything changed on the chassis or suspension. I'd guess that it's the shock preload or the tires that make them seem different

True all that. Other than the switch from j-arms to a-arms, and a couple of minor details, all banshee model years are virtually identical. 20 years of banshee, and basically the only difference between a 1987 and a 2006 is the switch from j-arms to a-arms.
