Just purchased new Warrior and I have two questions I need help with. First, I have heard about the poor airbox design on these bikes. How do I fix this? Second, Is there any way to make the transmission shift smoother and more precise?
Thanks in advance for the help.

The poor design on the air filter is the sealing of the filter to the airbox Pro Design and others make an adapter that allows you to run a clamp on filter for better sealing. It also allows you to remove the lid if you so desire. I purchased a Warrior new in 92 it also had notchy shifting it will get a little better with time but the Yamaha transmissions are known to be notchy unfortunately. HTH
